■Career
I joined GOYOH as a part-timer after finishing my job hunting in my fourth year of university (around June). I had previously worked a variety of part-time jobs, including as a wait staff member at a restaurant and as a tutor at a prep school. I had already decided to work for a financial institution, but I also wanted to deepen my knowledge of real estate, so I applied to GOYOH. I also had more opportunities to learn about companies' efforts towards the SDGs through my job hunting, which made me want to know more about them, which was a major factor in my decision.
■What I am in charge of at GOYOH
I am in charge of researching services and products that meet the ESG requirements of companies, compiling data to provide to business partners, creating reports and materials, etc. It is a mundane job, but the interesting thing is that I get to learn about the SDGs and cutting-edge business trends!
■Three features of GOYOH!
- A fast-paced environment
The appeal of GOYOH is the speed that only a startup can offer! New business ideas are constantly being born, and new information is flying around every day. The projects are so diverse that you might suddenly realize that a project you didn't even know about is underway! It's fascinating to learn about the wide world of business. - Close to the CEO
Because we are a small but elite operations team, you can easily communicate with the CEO! (Of course, you don't have to contact him even on your days off, so don't worry, lol) It's an incredibly valuable experience to be able to learn directly about business thinking and how work gets done. Another key point is that it's an environment where you can talk to other members on an equal footing, making communication easy. - Learn about the latest SDGs
GOYOH does business with many companies that are highly conscious of the SDGs, including foreign companies and major Japanese corporations. It's fascinating to learn about cutting-edge ESG trends and see firsthand how sustainability is achieved in real business settings.
■The most rewarding task
I proposed a service that met the ESG requirements of a certain company! It wasn't actually adopted, but I enjoyed the process of searching for products and services from scratch and creating presentation materials. It was stimulating to think about how to communicate it in a way that would move the other person's heart, and I would like to work hard and aim for the day when my proposal is adopted by a large company.
Future goals
I want to be able to put my ideas and thoughts into words and actually turn them into services. In order to increase the number of projects that I can say, "I worked on this!", I would like to research and share various case studies!

■Career
I am studying gender studies and international sociology at a graduate school in Tokyo. I am originally from Nagano Prefecture and love winter sports like skiing and natural scenery. Before joining GOYOH, I participated in collaborative writing projects and was active in setting up a queer organization with friends. I was attracted to the idea of working with an emphasis on ESG perspectives, so I applied to GOYOH during my undergraduate years and have been working here for about three years.
■What I am in charge of at GOYOH
I create content for the ESG/Community Portal Site that includes information and actions related to sustainability. I also often work with various actors to promote events and programs related to the environment and social contribution. Through the content I create and the events I'm involved in, I can actually deliver sustainable choices to real estate users, and I work every day with a sense of responsibility and excitement.
■Three features of GOYOH!
- New challenges possible
GOYOH is an environment where you can take on new challenges, regardless of your position or experience. By working while making use of your originality and initiative, you can discover new possibilities and gain greater self-confidence. While it is certainly a place where initiative can be put to good use, the atmosphere is very open and easy to communicate with the CEO and other staff, so you can share any problems or work you may have and work without any burden. - A work environment that respects individuals
The work is always set within reasonable limits, allowing me to work flexibly, so I've been able to continue working here even now that I'm a graduate student and busy with research. I'm grateful that I can create my own work schedule around my personal schedule, including school work, visiting family, and travel. - Co-creation with other companies and organizations
Through projects and events, you can interact with people with diverse perspectives and awareness of issues, including well-known large companies, the latest startups, and welfare organizations that are trying new things in Japan. By actually visiting properties and sites, you can come into contact with things that have never been done before in Japan, which will broaden your knowledge.
■The most rewarding task
One thing that left a lasting impression on me was the succession of demonstration experiments we conducted with three environmental startup companies in multiple rental properties in a certain area in fiscal 2023. Not only was it an opportunity to hone our planning management skills, but at the final report meeting of the program, someone from another company said, "This wouldn't have been possible without GOYOH providing the space," and it was a moment that reaffirmed the significance of focusing on real estate x ESG.
■ Future goals
I personally feel that GOYOH is a very comfortable place to work and where my strengths can be further developed, so I would like to contribute to creating an environment in which new employees feel the same way. When I started working here, it was my first time working in an office, and there were times when I was unsure whether I was making a difference. I remember how happy I was when everyone at GOYOH told me, "You really help us out," and "You're amazing, thank you." Just as they did for me, I would like to continue to express my gratitude and encouragement to new employees and other staff members, create systems that make work easier, and make this a workplace where people can discover new possibilities for themselves.

■Career
I'm currently a second-year university student and have been working at GOYOH for almost 10 months. I studied intercultural communication and developing countries at university, and my interest in SDGs and careers abroad led me to apply to GOYOH. This was my first part-time job, and I started with absolutely no knowledge of the real estate industry, but I've learned and grown through my work.
■What I am in charge of at GOYOH
I am mainly in charge of managing a community portal site for residents of domestic rental housing. Specifically, I research, plan, and manage services and products to help residents live more comfortable and socially and environmentally valuable lives. By accurately understanding residents' needs, researching appropriate services, and preparing for their introduction, I strive to provide a more fulfilling living environment.
■Three features of GOYOH!
- Social Contribution
At GOYOH, we place importance on initiatives that are considerate of society and the environment. For example, we have many opportunities to be involved in measures to realize a lifestyle that reduces environmental impact and initiatives that contribute to the revitalization of local communities. One of the great attractions of this job is that, in the course of my daily work, I can be involved in work that has a positive impact on society as a whole. - independence
Generally, when you think of part-time work at a company, you might imagine just doing the tasks you're told to do. However, at GOYOH, even part-timers are able to proactively express their own ideas and suggestions, and there are many opportunities for these to be reflected in the actual work. We have an environment where you can work independently, and one of the features of this job is that you can work while feeling a sense of personal growth. - Balancing with studies
Rather than a shift system, working hours can be adjusted according to individual schedules, making it an environment that makes it easy to balance work with studies. One of the appealing aspects is being able to balance work with university exams and club activities.
■The most rewarding task
I felt a great sense of accomplishment when a service I researched and proposed was actually implemented in a property and used by residents. I think the appeal of this job is that you can actually feel that your ideas are being shaped and that you are contributing to people's lives. I strongly feel that working at GOYOH is meaningful not just as a job, but as a job that creates social value.
■ Future goals
Originally, I had little knowledge of the real estate industry, so I am currently studying to obtain a real estate-related qualification in order to deepen my expertise. By gaining a specialized and systematic perspective, I hope to be able to propose better services that will lead to an improvement in the living environment of residents.
