Affiliation: 4th year student at the School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Waseda University (as of March 2025)

■Career
I joined GOYOH as a part-timer after finishing my job hunting in my fourth year of university (around June). I had previously worked a variety of part-time jobs, including as a wait staff member at a restaurant and as a tutor at a prep school. I had already decided to work for a financial institution, but I also wanted to deepen my knowledge of real estate, so I applied to GOYOH. I also had more opportunities to learn about companies' efforts towards the SDGs through my job hunting, which made me want to know more about them, which was a major factor in my decision.

■What I am in charge of at GOYOH
I am in charge of researching services and products that meet the ESG requirements of companies, compiling data to provide to business partners, creating reports and materials, etc. It is a mundane job, but the interesting thing is that I get to learn about the SDGs and cutting-edge business trends!

■Three features of GOYOH!

  1. A fast-paced environment
The appeal of GOYOH is the speed that only a startup can offer! New business ideas are constantly being born, and new information is flying around every day. The projects are so diverse that you might suddenly realize that a project you didn't even know about is underway! It's fascinating to learn about the wide world of business.
  2. Close to the CEO
Because we are a small but elite operations team, you can easily communicate with the CEO! (Of course, you don't have to contact him even on your days off, so don't worry, lol) It's an incredibly valuable experience to be able to learn directly about business thinking and how work gets done. Another key point is that it's an environment where you can talk to other members on an equal footing, making communication easy.
  3. Learn about the latest SDGs
GOYOH does business with many companies that are highly conscious of the SDGs, including foreign companies and major Japanese corporations. It's fascinating to learn about cutting-edge ESG trends and see firsthand how sustainability is achieved in real business settings.

■The most rewarding task
I proposed a service that met the ESG requirements of a certain company! It wasn't actually adopted, but I enjoyed the process of searching for products and services from scratch and creating presentation materials. It was stimulating to think about how to communicate it in a way that would move the other person's heart, and I would like to work hard and aim for the day when my proposal is adopted by a large company.

Future goals
I want to be able to put my ideas and thoughts into words and actually turn them into services. In order to increase the number of projects that I can say, "I worked on this!", I would like to research and share various case studies!
